Waterbodies

Point Sources

• Silage pits managed to avoid leachate running to water. Wrapping recycled with Plasback.

• Tracks maintained.

Waste Management Plan

• Household rubbish is the responsibility of households.

  • Rubbish and recycling can be taken to the Waimate Resource Recovery Park.

• Cowshed rubbish is to go into the rubbish bins at the cow shed or workshop.

• Silage wrap is to be separated from the netting and put in the Plasback bin. Contact Plasback when full on 0508 338 240.

• Empty chemical drums are to be triple rinsed and taken to PGG Wrightsons for Agrecovery collection.

• Dead calves are not to be left lying around.

• All rubbish, drench and treatments are to be removed from the yards after each use and the race left clean. Any broken boards, chains and gates to be fixed immediately.
